Where should I stay in Cairo?
Under the Hotels you can find our recommended hotels. The shuttles will be leaving from the recommended hotels. However, you are free to stay wherever you'd like. For novice travelers, we'd recommend staying in at least a 4-star hotel.

How do I pay for things there?
In Egypt, the Egyptian pound is the only cash currency used for payments. Credit cards are widely accepted in most tourist areas, while cash is often required for smaller purchases. It's recommended to bring USD and convert it at the bank in Egypt for the best rate. Please check exchange rates to make sure you are getting a fair price
Note, you are allowed to bring in and out a maximum of 10,000USD and 5,000EGP into the country as cash per person
What do I have to pay for?
- May 6th and 8th we will cover all planned events
- May 7th we will coordinate the transportation but individuals will have to pay for their own tickets and food: Sightseeing Trip (Pyramids and Museum) 75USD. Payment will be made directly with the travel agent on the day

How will I know where to go?
The travel agent will coordinate with everyone, and most communication will be done through WhatsApp
How can I use my phone in Egypt?
There are three options you can use your home phone provider with roaming (usually the most expensive). The second option is using a virtual app such as Saily or Airlo (cheaper option). You can also buy a SIM card in Egypt at the airport (cheapest option)

Yes, transportation will be provided for the three days scheduled
How can I get around for personal excursions?
There are transportation options available with the travel agent, and Uber is available in Egypt for the more experienced travelers
What should I wear in Egypt?
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes, alcohol is allowed in the country. Alcohol is available in all major hotel bars and restaurants. Note Egypt has a 900% tariff on foreign alcohol; therefore, it is best to bring your own liquor into the country or drink local brands. You must follow customs regulations on the amount and type of liquor to bring duty-free
